Abdul H. Khan
Executive Director
Abdul H. Khan is a pioneer in the Muslim community of Northern California.
Abdul H. Khan is a graduate of California State University of Sacramento, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in 1983. He was a Co-Editor and publisher of an Urdu Newspaper “Pakistan” from 1975 till 1984. He was a co-founder of the Sacramento chapter of Islamic Circle of North America, one of the premier Islamic religious organizations in US.  He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) of Sacramento Valley.
Abdul H. Khan has lived in Sacramento area since migrating from Pakistan in 1971. He has deep understanding of Halal food issues, the Muslim community, its composition, its promise and challenges.

Rashid Ahmad
Rashid Ahmad, a Civil Engineer by profession, is a Muslim community activist.  He earned his Master of Science (1973) and a Master of Engineering (1975), both from University of California at Davis.  He has very strong interest in the affairs of the Muslim American communities and the society at large.
Rashid Ahmad served on the community board of Shifa Community Clinic of Sacramento from its beginning in late 1990s till 2010. He was also a member of the board of directors of the Capital Unity Council of Sacramento, a multi cultural organization dedicated to promote religious and cultural tolerance in Sacramento.  He is a co-founder and member of the Council of Sacramento Valley Islamic Organizations that is dedicated to help Islamic organizations address community-wide issues. Rashid Ahmad was president of the Muslim Mosque Association of Sacramento, the oldest mosque on the west coast, from 1993-1994.



Shaykh Abu Laith Luqman Ahmad

Imam Luqman Ahmad, grew up in Philadelphia, PA where his father, Shaykh Abdul-Karim Muhammad Ahmad, versed him in areas of tawheed, aqeedah, fiqh, and seerah and introduced him to Ihyaa Uloom al-Deen by al-Ghazaali, at the age of 15. As an adolescent, young Luqman attended lectures of the late Colonel Amirudeen. Sheikh Luqman attended lessons of the legendary African scholar, Sheikh Dawood Ahmad Faisal, of the State Street Mosque in Brooklyn, a major center of traditional learning in US.  He also took instruction from the famous Egyptian Sheikh Suleiman Dunyaa.

Shaykh Luqman graduated from the language and Usool ud-Deen program at Omdurman Islamic University in Sudan and recieved his “Ijaazah” in Hafs Quran recitation from the Quranic village of Wad al-Faadni in the Jazeerah Province of Sudan.

Skaykh Luqman also studied at Umm Al-Quraa University in Saudi Arabia and at the Haram al-Mekki. While in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, in addition to the teachers at Um al-Qura, the Imam studied with Sheikh Suleiman al-Hazmi, Sheikh Muhammad al-Ghazaali, and Sheikh Sayyid Sabiq who was his sheikh of tafseer al-Quran.

Shaykh Luqman is the author of two books; ‘The Paradigm Shift’, and  ‘Know Thy Enemy” (How to protect yourself from the Devil). He is National Shura Member of Muslim Alliance of North America.
